Insertion into the landscape

The Lebanese mountainous areas are characterized by a strong landscaped creation, based on the relief levelling into terraces with retaining walls made of dry stones. Buildings are based on this stairs’ network, organized in a succession of levels, and using the same material. We believe it essential to adopt the same levelling principles and use of similar natural materials.  For example, rather rough and rustic materials are used for the lower parts of the building and fences, while polished and more precious materials are used for the upper part. For the plantations, local and Mediterranean tree species (oaks, junipers, palm trees, jasmines, bougainvilleas and citrus trees) will contribute to the insertion of the project into the landscape.
